Papua New Guinea is a culturally rich and geographically remote place with some of the most stunning scenery on earth. We meet and learn about some of the tribal people of this land including the Asaro Mudmen, the Wagni, the Simbu, the Kaguel and the fascinating Trobriand Islanders. We explore Mt. Gahavisuka Provincial Park by 4-wheel drive and the Sepik River by wooden canoe. We also spend three days on Kiriwina Island, which is part of the Trobriand Islands. Our August departure features the Mt. Hagen Show, where the tribes come from all over Papua New Guinea for a two-day spectacular "singsing"-- a traditional song and dance festival complete with traditional tribal clothing and body decoration.
