Many of us are collectors, from stamps to art and all things in between. My grandmother collected salt and pepper shakers; my passion is to collect exotic, handmade masks. Mali and Burkina Faso produce some of the best tribal masks in the world. The two countries are home to over 60 tribal groups, including the Dogon people, performers of the Masked Dance of the Dogon. The colorful masks hold significant spiritual and symbolic meaning and witnessing the Dance of the Masks in Cultural West Africa is on every world travelers' must see list.
Journey to the heart of fabled TIMBUKTU. Encounter old world traditions on a 3-day Niger River journey, meet the descendants of an ancient Lobi culture, experience the Tuareg culture and visit the incredible Dogon people in their cliff side dwellings and attend the colorful Dance of the Masks. Explore Burkina Faso, one of the least visited, yet most culturally rich countries in West Africa - there are over 60 ethnic groups, and many of their tribal traditions remain intact.

Where have all the sheep gone?
In the early 80's, there were over 70 million sheep in New Zealand. Now there are approximately 40 million sheep. This means that the often quoted statistic of New Zealand having 20 sheep for every human, is wrong! Nowadays it's about 10 to 1. However, this decline hasn't stopped New Zealanders from cornering 50% of the international trade in sheep meat.
Come visit the sheep and the many other delights in New Zealand. Spectacular natural wonders, friendly people, and a comfortable climate all make New Zealand the perfect travel destination. On this active trip we explore caves, glaciers and national parks. Experience the thrill of white water rafting, the exhilaration of a jet boat ride and learn about the fascinating Maori culture. Explore Abel Tasman National Park by kayak, on foot and in a Maori War Canoe. Conclude the trip with a cruise on beautiful Milford Sound. Hiking enthusiasts may also wish to consider the spectacular Milford Track extension.

Full of pomp, ceremony, and jubilant Mongolians, this celebration is not to be missed. Experience the wonders of the Gobi Desert and the incredible national parks. Visit former royal palaces and museums; savor the sights and sounds of this unique country.
