Welcome to the October version of ElderTreks e-newsletter! In this edition, we have not ONE, not TWO, but THREE exciting tidbits to share with you.
First, our 2009 and 2010 brochure is almost ready! You will be receiving a copy in the mailbox in November. We are excited about our BIGGEST and BEST brochure ever. New trips to watch for are Syria and Jordan, Voodoo and Spirits of West Africa (Niger, Benin, Togo and Ghana), and the seldom visited Eastern Turkey.

Third, the BBC will be filming a sequel to Planet Earth - Frozen Planet, aboard 3 of our Antarctic and Artic expeditions! The BBC film crew will be shooting footage aboard the first two departures of Emperor Penguins: Snow Hill Island. During the October 10 and October 22 departures in 2009, the crew will deliver presentations and show dailies - raw footage captured during each day's filming. The dailies will be filmed with the technology that enables the BCC's Natural History Unit to capture never- before-seen footage of wildlife in their natural habitat.
