Sometimes described as the 8th Wonder of the Ancient World, Petra is an awe-inspiring sight. Carved into the sheer rock face by the Nabataeans over 2000 years ago, The Rose City of Petra was an important trade link between southern Arabia and the Far East. As one of Jordan's biggest attractions, Petra is a must see for any visitors to this area.
Also visit the ruins at Jerash, a Roman City built on a site dating back to the Neolithic Age and experience the massive pillars of sandstone rock rising from the rose-red desert floor at Wadi Rum (wadi means desert). On the return to the capital city of Amman, visit the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea with an opportunity to float in its salt dense water. This extension takes in some of the best that Jordan has to offer.
