![]() Download Classic Australia Detailed Itinerary Day 1: Arrive in Ayers Rock Airport, YularaG'day! Make your own flight to Ayers Rock. Yulara from any major Australian city, Sydney, Cairns, Melbourne etc. We will need your flight details to Ayers Rock, the city you will be departing from and the hotel you will be staying at so a representative can pick you up to assist you to the airport for your flight to Ayers Rock. This is also the welcome meeting in which all details will be discussed for the next 7 days. Upon arrival in Ayers Rock, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check in. Day 2: Uluru (Ayers Rock) Sunrise, Kata Tjuta (Olgas), Kings CanyonRise early to see Uluru at sunrise. Drive out to Kata Tjuta, a magnificent cluster of 36 rocky domes that dominate the western skyline of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Join a walk into Walpa (Olga) Gorge, where some of the plants are so rare that they are only found in and around these distinct sandstone formations. This afternoon, journey to Watarrka National Park, the home of Kings Canyon. Overnight at Kings Canyon. Day 3: Ayers Rock to Kings CanyonThis morning enjoy a guided walk up to the rim of awe-inspiring Kings Canyon for spectacular views of the canyon's walls. Then walk through the ancient Lost City and the lush Garden of Eden to a waterhole (requires a good degree of fitness). Another less strenuous walk along the canyon floor is also available. This gentler alternative takes you deep into the canyon between the towering orange walls. Day 4: Alice Springs to CairnsToday is at leisure until you are transferred to the airport for your flight to Cairns. Upon arrival you are transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Cairns. Day 5: Full day on the Great Barrier ReefToday explore a stunning coral reef location selected for it's superior water clarity, coral quality and overall diversity of marine life. Depart direct from Cairns on a fast, stable catamaran providing a smoother ride and reduced travel time, leaving more of your day to experience the magic of the Great Barrier Reef. The all-weather Marine World platform caters for all activity levels. Snorkel in the sheltered coral lagoon, go scuba diving (no experience necessary) or join the Marine Biologist on a Guided Snorkel safari.Enjoy the reef from the semi-submersible reef viewer, glass bottom boat or underwater observatory. Day 6: Kuranda and Aboriginal ExperienceA short journey to the Railway Station to board the famous Kuranda Scenic Rail. An amazing journey awaits you as you travel one of the world's most scenic rail routes through hand hewn tunnels and over bridges spanning spectacular gorges. A stop is made at Barron Gorge to view the Falls before arriving at beautiful Kuranda Station.Spend some time exploring this quaint Village before a short journey brings you to the Rainfore station set in 40 hectares of gardens and rainforest. A number of unique activities await you. Board the unusual amphibious Army Duck for a different look at the Rainforest. An experienced guide will show you unique tropical fruits, ancient rainforest plants and point out a number of our native animals as you meander through the Rainforest. Day 7: Depart CairnsA day spent at leisure until you are transferred to the airport for your onward flight. |
