ElderTreks' own, Diane Reid, recently returned from an eight day journey to Uganda. Taking in some of the major attractions on this shortened trip, including the trip highlights of gorilla trekking at Bwindi and safari at Murchinson Falls. The National Parks of Uganda offer up the adventurous traveller some amazing opportunities to view the wildlife in their natural habitats.

Hiking 2.5 hours into the forest (1.5 hours to return), tracking the elusive gorillas, Diane and her small group were able to get up close and personal to a full family of 16 gorillas. A silverback, multiple females, adolescents and babies, the group was able to see the entire family in their natural abode.
