"The experience was exactly what we were looking for. We wanted to visit a place that is exotic where a guide would be necessary. China is a long time interest so Yunnan is a perfect match. The awesome scenery, visiting minority villages and places of historical interest were special but the memory that will probably live the longest is the experiences surrounding Deqin. The school visit, Feilai Temple, the awesome views of Meili Snow Mountain, the pilgrims and the people of the region were all very special. I’ll be forever grateful for the chance to visit the nunnery, enter the prayer room and watch briefly the chanting. The walk up to and back form the nunnery was in itself an experience: to see the homes up close, the children on the path, the people working in the fields. The drive from Lijiang to Panzhihua is not be be missed."
